DMCA & Copyright Policy

We respect copyright and we expect the same of others. This page explains what is and is not protected on this site, and how to raise a copyright concern.

1. What is on this site

Nearly everything here is generated or written by us: the colour values and conversions are computed, the artwork is produced programmatically from the articles' own data, and the article text is original.

Colour values are facts and are not copyrightable. A hex code, an RGB triple or a contrast ratio is not owned by anyone, and no takedown is possible over one.

2. If you believe something here infringes your copyright

Email contact@upgrab.online with "Copyright notice" in the subject line. To be actionable under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act, 17 U.S.C. § 512, your notice needs to include substantially the following:

  1. Your physical or electronic signature.
  2. Identification of the copyrighted work you say has been infringed.
  3. Identification of the material you say is infringing, with enough detail — ideally the exact URL — for us to find it.
  4. Contact details for you: name, address, telephone number and email.
  5. A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorised by the copyright owner, its agent or the law.
  6. A statement that the information in the notice is accurate and, under penalty of perjury, that you are the owner or authorised to act for the owner.

Knowingly misrepresenting that material is infringing can make you liable for damages and legal costs under 17 U.S.C. § 512(f). If you are simply unsure whether something is yours, email first and ask — most questions are resolved without any formal notice.

3. What we do with a valid notice

We act promptly to remove or disable access to material identified in a notice that substantially meets the requirements above, and we keep a record of notices received. Because the content here is published by us rather than uploaded by users, in most cases we simply review the claim ourselves and remove the material if there is genuine doubt.

4. Counter-notice

If material you provided was removed and you believe that was a mistake, you can send a counter-notice to the same address, including your signature, identification of the material and where it appeared, a statement under penalty of perjury that you believe it was removed by mistake or misidentification, your contact details, and your consent to the jurisdiction of the appropriate court. We may restore the material as the DMCA permits.

5. Repeat infringers

In appropriate circumstances we will remove material and restrict access for anyone who repeatedly infringes copyright.

6. Other kinds of complaint
