Everything on upgrab.online is provided for general information and practical use. This page sets out the limits of what the tools and articles can tell you.
1. General information only
We work hard to keep the tools correct and the articles accurate, but we make no warranty about completeness, accuracy or suitability for a particular purpose. Anything you rely on here, you rely on at your own risk.
2. Colour accuracy and your display
Colour conversion here uses standard formulas and is mathematically correct for sRGB. What you actually see is a different question, and depends on your display, its colour profile, its calibration and the ambient light in your room.
- Two screens showing the same hex code will rarely look identical.
- Wide-gamut displays can render values that a standard sRGB display cannot.
- CMYK values are a mathematical conversion, not a press-ready separation — real print work needs an ICC profile for the specific paper and press.
- LAB, LCH and OKLCH can describe colours no screen can display; the browser maps those back into range.
For colour-critical work — brand matching, print, packaging, product finishes — confirm against a physical reference or a measured proof. Do not sign anything off on the basis of a number from a web page.
3. Accessibility figures are not a compliance opinion
The contrast ratios shown here are the WCAG 2 relative-luminance calculation applied to two colours. That calculation is well defined and we implement it faithfully.
It is not a legal opinion. Passing 4.5:1 does not make an interface accessible, and it does not establish compliance with WCAG as a whole, the European Accessibility Act, the ADA, Section 508, or any procurement standard. Real accessibility covers focus order, semantics, keyboard operation, motion, language and much more. If you have a legal obligation, have it assessed by someone qualified to do that.
4. Not professional advice
Nothing on this site is legal, medical, financial or other professional advice. Articles about colour psychology or the effect of colour on perception describe general design practice, not clinical or scientific claims about individuals.
5. External links
We link to specifications, browser documentation and other resources we find useful. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content or accuracy, and a link is not an endorsement.
6. Advertising disclosure
This site carries third-party advertising, which is kept visually distinct from editorial content and labelled. We do not select individual ads and do not endorse advertised products. No article is sponsored, and there are no affiliate links.
7. Errors and corrections
We get things wrong sometimes. When we do, we correct the page and update its date rather than removing it quietly. If you spot an error, email contact@upgrab.online — corrections from readers are welcome and are acted on.
